Our Civil Society Mapping project was introduced to increase knowledge of the current situation of a number of pre-identified components of the civil society in Iran; strengthening the civil society’s strategic capacity as a network that can contribute to Iran’s potential development plans; quantifying the CSO contribution in the national estimates.

Our method:

• Mapping the state of civil society.
• Conducting a needs assessment of the civil society.
• Conducting SWOT’s of the civil society including a review of: dynamics between the civil society actors and other players, factors of powers and their influence on the civil society.
• Mapping the prospective outlook of the civil society.
